Happy Thanksgiving

Better a late wish than no wish at all, right?!

I routinely peruse the WWW looking for interesting product photography, checking out what the "photographic world" is doing with subjects like shoes, bags, apparel, etc. I've come to find that there isn't a lot of crazy variety out there. The reason is pretty simple in that we're all needing to portray our products as they are. You can't get too crazy dramatic without altering the true-to-reality look of something. And if it doesn't look like what you're going to get when you click "Buy Now", you're just asking for returns and less than stellar customer reviews. In short, not good.

Sometimes, in the search, I come across things of interest. Interesting lighting, composition...whatever...something that catches my eye. This morning, I came across these boots. They retail for over $2,500 which blows my mind. But what's more is that they're made from pythons...or maybe just 1 very unlucky python (singular). Here I am still buying leather products. Had no idea that I'm that yesterday's news. I guess the Chik-Fil-A cow commercials have paid off, even in the footwear market. They're moving on to "smaller and better" things.
